EUTHEA RESIDENCE DESIGNED BY ATENO ARCHITECTURE STUDIO IN GREECE

 

Located on a remote and undeveloped peninsula in Meganisi, in Greece, the Euthea Residence, designed by Ateno Studio, engages directly with a pristine landscape defined by sea, sunlight, and native vegetation. As the first built intervention on the site, the project establishes a sensitive model for future development, prioritizing minimal environmental impact and strong integration with its surroundings.

 

The house is embedded within a subtle topographic fold, forming a shaded linear space that accommodates most daily activities. A planted roof and the use of local stone reduce the building’s visual presence, allowing it to merge with the terrain and remain almost imperceptible from land.

Interior spaces are arranged in a continuous sequence, framing uninterrupted views of the sea and reinforcing a strong spatial connection to the horizon. The surrounding landscape is left largely untouched, enabling the residence to remain fully immersed in its natural context.

 

The project proposes a restrained and site-specific architecture, where landscape, habitation, and perception are carefully balanced.
