Designed by Shinichi Ogawa & Associates, the S Residence (2011) is a refined example of contemporary minimalist architecture in Japan. Defined by pure geometry and exposed concrete, the house creates a serene living environment centered around light, proportion, and spatial continuity. The project explores the relationship between solid and void, with carefully framed openings that connect the interior to courtyards and outdoor spaces. The restrained material palette and precise detailing enhance a sense of calm, while the spatial sequence offers a subtle balance between openness and privacy.
